Dave has enjoyed getting to know Bob over the past few years in conversations over a cup of coffee. Bob and Dave have a lot in common, music being one of their main interests. Since we have been the neighbors next door to Marlene's parents for so many years, we wish to offer our sympathy to Marlene and all your family.

We are very sad to hear Bob will no longer be playing music with all of us but so happy he is no longer in pain. Malene, we'll always cherish the time you and Bob visited us in Lake Placid......what great music and conversation.! Bob was always so kind to me and we had such fun at Evart and Midland. We always smile when thinking of him.

I am so sorry for your loss. All of you. Our families have been connected in friendship over the years. I still remember my grandmother referring to your dad's parents as "Mutz and Bernie", some of her dearest friends. Peace to each of you. There are no words to take away the pain of loss when we lose someone. I pray for peace for each of you, as you adjust your lives, without his human presence.

Marlene & Family - We were so sorry to learn of Bob's death. Did not know he was ill or would have come to visit. It has been so long since we have seen you. Sadly we get so busy and the time gets away from us. We have so many happy memories of him and of all of you. We knew Bob from his contributions to the "music world." He was an ODPC and a Midland Dulcimer Festival workshop leader for several years when I was in charge of those workshop programs. John and I were proud to play music with him many times. He was an all-round nice guy and we were pleased to call him a friend. So sorry for your loss!

Marlene... we are shocked and so sorry for you for losing Bob... He was such a great guy... We always really enjoyed our times with you guys, especially camping in Florida... Our hearts and prayers are with you, Marlene, and the entire family. We were so fortunate to have played some 20 years in the band with him. So many wonderful memories .. He always had such a warm smile and love of life. And he could be such a stinker too! Cherish those good memories ... we will all miss him. He left way too soon.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Bob always had such a quiet demeanor about himself until it came to playing his music. He would start playing and singing then you would see a whole other side of him. I especially loved to see that smile he had. He will be greatly missed.

Bob was a very special kind of friend. His absence will be felt on countless occasions and for a long time. Playing music with him was a highlight of my life and without Bob those times will never be the same. I shall never forget the first time I met Bob. My wife and I were at the Evart Dulcimer Festival and Bob came knocking on our door and asked for me. My wife asked him, 'does he know you'.? Bob said 'not yet, but he's going to'. That was Bob. Rest in Peace my Friend. As you said the last time we talked, 'I'll see ya down the trail'.

Bob was a wonderful neighbor to my parents (Gene and Ethel Aldrich) when they lived across the road from him. Dad enjoyed the many conversations they had and it was a comfort to know he was keeping an eye out for mom after dad passed away. May the angels welcome him to paradise.
