To Nic's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Nic volunteering at the Fenner Nature Center. He was a hard worker and a genuinely nice person, and he always spoke of his family with such love. My thoughts are with you in the days to come.

Nic was an awesome guy. I am speechless. I can't say enough good things about him. A few years back, he hardly knew me and invited me to his deer camp one year. Had the time of my life hunting with Nic, his friends and relatives. He always had a smile to offer and never too busy at work to say a few words to you. Truly he was someone you would want to have as a friend. I am so sorry for his family especially his daughter. The Lord received a very good man. God Bless him and his family.

Our hearts are saddened by Nic’s sudden and unexpected calling home. I am comforted by Jesus’ words to his apostles before he left them, saying “If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the father”. Nic will be waiting for each of us in heaven with his big smile. So each day forward, we are all one day closer to being reunited with him in heaven. Our family is praying for peace and comfort for everyone that is struggling with our loss. Nic, we love you and miss you!

Words could never adequately express the depth of our sympathy or the extent of our condolences for all of you... Amanda and Annabelle, Steve and Sue, Bob and Marion and the entire family... Nic will certainly live on in our hearts and memories. It was always a delight to hear him first come in at family gatherings as his smile was infectious and his strong handshake, sometimes a bear hug, would never fail to raise our spirits. His love and appreciation of family was vast and undeniable. We are deeply saddened by the realization that we won't witness that anymore this side of Heaven, but so sincerely grateful that we were privileged to be blessed to experience Nic's loving and gracious spirit here.
