Passed away Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016, at her home.  She was 77 years old.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Chesaning Twp.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Her family will be present at the funeral home to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of the service.

 

Joan was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on October 10, 1938, the daughter of Alfred and Louise Hanson.  She was married to Gerald Lackie.  He preceded her in death on September 7, 1993.  Joan had worked at the former Gracie’s Country House on M-13.  She was currently working in the Deli Department at Frank’s Market in Chesaning.

 

Those left to mourn her loss include her two children, Cheryl L. Weiss of Owosso and Greg (Pam) Lackie of Oakley; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Al (Joan) Hanson of Bad Axe; and nieces and nephews.  Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; a sister, Jeanette; and a brother, Bob.
