I miss him so much. Don was a great guy and I will sure miss him picking on me, and our little boxing matches (he could get those arms a going). It was an honor to know him and he brought smiles and laughter to my life. I will not forget him or your family.

Margaret, Donna and family,
Our prayers are with you and we also rejoice with you that Don is now safely home in heaven with our Lord Jesus. We treasure the many good memories and look forward to that grand reunion at our Savior's side. God bless! Pastor and Linda Nottling
P.S. Can't help think of Don plowing the parking lot with the plow (Scout??) whose gas gauge didn't work. But he had that long stick along and he'd stop ever so often to make sure there was still some gas. Good memories!

Don was one of my Pioneer leaders at church, when I was a kid. He raised a nice family, which is a great reflection on Don and his wife. I know he had a rough end of life, but his strong faith sustained him. God speed Mr. Bates!

Our deepest sympathies to the Bates Family on the passing of Don. He was such a sweet and caring person. Don and my dad Tom, always had fun working together on projects with the Chesaning Kiwanis Club. Don will be remembered for his genuine warmth and giving back to his community. May you find comfort in the many memories you hold dear.
Rest in peace Don. You will be missed.

Our Dad Lloyd, Mom Marva & your Dad Don are home now, probably helping serve the Lord Jesus somehow, like they always did! Bless you all!!
