Asahel  “Ace”  Phillips

Of Chesaning

 

Passed away Monday afternoon, May 2, 2016, surrounded by his family at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County in Owosso.  He was 90 years old.

 

Ace was born in Morrice, Michigan on May 4, 1925, the son of James Earl and Katherine Sarah (Strimback) Phillips.  He married Florence M. Sackrider.  Ace was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II.  He was an auto mechanic and owned and operated the former Ace’s Service of Chesaning.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Florence; daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Joseph Gross, Janice and Kurt Wille, Kathy and Phillip Larner; his grandchildren, Brian Gross, Erin (Larner) Sincissen, Timothy Gross, Rob Salazar, Daryl Gross, David Gross, "Buddy" Salazar, Teresa (Larner) Laskowski, Andrew Larner, Brenda (Salazar) Slenzak, Brett Larner, Wade Larner, and Tara Wille; and many great-grandchildren.

 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Road, Owosso, MI 48867.
