Tracy L. Mason of Marshall, formerly of Chesaning, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home. She was 51 years of age.
Tracy was born in Saginaw on March 30, 1969, a daughter of the late Kirk and Sherry L. (Smith) Evans. She was a graduate of New Lothrop High School and attended Ross Medical, where she earned her Medical Assistant certificate. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey A. Mason in Saginaw on August 20, 1999. They had resided in Marshall for almost five years.
Tracy's proudest accomplishment was being a mom, not just any mom, but the most caring, supportive, and loving mom there was. She carried this into her relationships with so many people. She was a dedicated Aunt to her niece and nephew. Tracy had the biggest heart, it was in her nature to help, care, give kindness to anyone that crossed her path. She was truly everyone's 'best friend.' Tracy had a passion for not only helping people but animals too, her house was filled with furchildren that were added siblings to her two sons. Even though Tracy was not one to be photographed, she always loved taking a moment to admire the beauty God has made on this earth, and capturing it.
Tracy is survived by her loving husband, Jeff; her two sons, Patrick (Kacie) Hook of Kalkaska and Curtis Hook of Montrose; her brother, J.R. (KatieAnne) Evans of Montrose; sister, Mary Ellen (Craig) McAllister of Whitehall; niece and nephew, Madison and Parker; her mother-in-law, Millie Mason of Saginaw; her pet companions, Darla, Romeo, Gizzy, Gabby, and Cami; and other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, Tracy was preceded in death by a brother, Cory Evans, and her father-in-law, Robert Mason.
Visitation for Tracy will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. A private funeral service for her family will be held later. Interment will be with her parents at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saginaw.
