Theodore J. Lipovsky Obituary
LIPOVSKY, Theodore J. – of Chesaning, died Sunday, April 13, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw. He was 87 years of age.
Theodore was born in Owosso on February 13, 1938, a son of Joseph and Blanche (Signs) Lipovsky. Ted graduated from Owosso High School and attended General Motors Institute (GMI) with a focus on Product Engineering and Electronics. He was united in marriage to Norrita Gross on May 21, 1960, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Maple Grove. After marriage, Ted and Norrita lived in Owosso, where they raised their four children. They later lived in Au Gres for 12 years before relocating to Chesaning about six years ago.
Ted had worked as a Design Draftsman at Midland Ross Company in Owosso for 16 years. He later spent seven years at Eaton Corporation as a Technical Training Supervisor and Sales and Service Engineer with a specialty in anti-locking braking systems. In 1980, Ted purchased a small business in Lennon, MI, and was the owner/operator for 12 years. After selling the business, he acquired a couple real estate rental properties that he continued to hold well into his retirement. Ted was a member the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 851, of Owosso and was a Secretary/Treasurer and later President of the club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending local auctions.
Theodore is survived by his beloved wife of over 64 years, Norrita; their children, Connie (Tim) Shirley of Owosso, Scott (Terri) Lipovsky of Durand, Todd (Sue) Lipovsky of Richland, and Paul (Laci) Lipovsky of Chesaning; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with one more on the way; a brother, William (Darnell) of Panama City, FL; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A small, private memorial service is pending. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations given in memory of Theodore can be made to the charity of one’s choice. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
