Terrill M. Whitney

WHITNEY, Terrill M. – of Chesaning, died Saturday September 6, 2025, at the Meadows of Owosso. He was 93 years of age.

Terrill was born March 26, 1932, in Owosso to the late Leo and Gladys (Mason) Whitney. He was a resident of Chesaning most of his life. He was a 1950 graduate of Chesaning High School the attended MSU and SVSU and earned his teaching certificate. Terrill served in the US Air Force from 1955-1958. He retired from Chesaning Union Schools in 2001 with 30 years seniority. Mr. Whitney attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Terrill was an avid Porsche enthusiast. He belonged to the Porsche Club of America, Motor Stadt Region of Michigan, and enjoyed driving different model cars. He also enjoyed gardening, landscaping, colleting cacti, music, art and travelling especially to Italy. He was an active member, supporter and director of Owosso Community Players.

He leaves behind those who were family to him: Matthew and Jessica MacFadden, Oliver Whitney MacFadden and Piper MacFadden, all of Owosso.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Rev. Janine Plum officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-8pm and on Saturday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
