Sylvia Schneider Obituary
Schneider, Sylvia Ann – of St. Charles, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Francis Home in Saginaw. She was 85 years of age.
Sylvia was born May 26, 1936, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to the late Clinton and Clara (Ferris) West. She came to Michigan in 1953. Sylvia married Charles Schneider on December 6, 1981. She retired from Safetyclean Corporation. She was a member of Oakley Community Church. She enjoyed cooking, making porcelain Dolls, making doll wigs by processing goat hair, working in the flower garden and started a group to make sleeping bags for the homeless.
Surviving are: husband, Charles; children: Kathy Primeau of Saginaw, Steven Duel of Saginaw, Cindy Fox of AZ, Clayton (Karen) Duel of Mason, Bethany (Daniel) Alfred of Holt and Lori Schneider (Nicole) of Holt; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings: David (Toni) Dee of Sikeston, MO, Maryanna DeBolt of Lansing, Daniel Dee (Sam) of AZ; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her brother, Clayton “Jack” West, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Oakley Community Church, 327 M-52, Oakley. Rev. Dr. John Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. Contributions in her memory may be made to Oakley Community Church.
