Steven J. Bolf

BOLF, Steven J. – of Oakley, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, after a short illness.  He was 61 years of age. 

Steven was born in Owosso on July 22, 1963, a son of the late Frederick and Margaret (Mrazik) Bolf and was a lifelong resident of Oakley. He graduated from Chesaning Union High School in the Class of 1981.  Steven was united in marriage to Cheryl Jurstik on November 11, 2006.  He had worked as a Journeyman Iron Worker and was a member of the Iron Workers Local #25 for over 20 years. His work was his life. He had great respect for his brother tradesmen. There are buildings all over the state of Michigan that Steve was proud of being a part of their existence. Steve especially loved his outdoor fireplace sitting there for hours thinking how he was going to finish the current building he was working on. He loved camping and could always be seen riding his electric bike around the campground. He and his wife had a special bond that will never be broken. He loved all of his family, especially all of his grandchildren. Steve will be missed by so many people. God had a plan for Steve from the beginning, and he lived his life with so much joy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl; daughter, Ashley Rich of Corunna whom he was especially proud of (she was his best work in life); three stepchildren, Tony (Tara) Borrego of Owosso, Terresa (Jason) Plowman of Oakley, and Gabe Borrego of California; grandchildren, Winter Rich, Jason Rich, Lani Borrego, Cadin Plowman, Jax Plowman, Landen Plowman, Justice Plowman, Lily Borrego, and Sophia Borrego; his siblings, Darlene Romulo of Columbus, OH, Frederick Jr. “Fritz” Bolf of Chesaning, and Tammy (Chris) Leadbeater of Marengo, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Green, and a brother, Robbie Bolf.

No services are planned.  Charitable donations made in memory of Steven may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
