Sharon Sue "Susie" Brumit Obituary
BRUMIT, Sharon Sue “Susie” – of Chesaning, died Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw with her family by her side. She was 76 years of age.
Susie was born April 4, 1945, in Lansing, MI to the late John and Virginia (Archer) Carpenter. She was a longtime resident of Chesaning. She had been an elementary school teacher and then a beautician. She enjoyed spending time with the family, going shopping at the grocery store, Sam’s Club and the dollar store, and teaching her furry companion, Chloe, tricks. Susie enjoyed the holidays; Easter and Christmas were her favorites. Sue enjoyed crocheting and made many gifts for her grandchildren and she loved her garden. She was a very loving and caring person, always willing to help others if she could. She was a busy body always doing something.
Surviving are: daughters: Michelle Grinnell of Ithaca, Jennifer Stolz (Michael Steele) of Chesaning; step daughter, Shannon (Kevin) Nevills of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Logeonelo of Lansing, Janet (Don) Case of Charlotte, Carol (Paul) Garcia of FL; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: husband, Howard Brumit; 30 year companion, Elbert Sawyer; daughter Tammy Rummell; and two granddaughters, Jamie Rummell and Casie Rummell.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Rev. Gary Shooltz will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and then Sunday from 1 p,m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m.
