Rosalie A. Bonkowski Obituary
BONKOWSKI, Rosalie A. – of Chesaning, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Union Court Assisted Living in Chesaning. She was 87 years of age.
Rosalie was born February 25,1939, in Saginaw to the late Henry and Irene (Langley) Belko. Rosalie was a graduate of St. Peter and St. Paul High School in Saginaw. She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Bonkowski on September 17, 1960. They have been residents of Chesaning since 1974, coming from Shields. Dick and Rosalie were married for over 65 years before he preceded her in death on October the 28, 2025.
Rosalie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter Parish Catholic Church in Chesaning. In her younger years, she enjoyed, bowling and playing softball. After Dick’s retirement, they enjoyed boating and traveling.
Surviving are: her children: Rick (Charlene) Bonkowski, Beverly (Al) Strouse, Jodi Birchmeier, and Barbara (Michael) Mesh; grandchildren: Dana, Dawn, Dustin, Blake, Wade, Joshua, Jacob, Joslin, Emily, and Scott; great-grandchildren: Ariana, Aundrea, Alex, Avery, Bryson, Zander, Brayden, Freya, Ava, and Addison; and 1 great-great grandson arriving this summer; sister, Kathy Ashton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sonny Belko; and her beloved husband, Richard.
Her family wishes a special thank you to the loving and comforting staff at Union Court Assisted Living.
