WARD, Rosa Lee – of Chesaning, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Hospice House of Shiawassee. She was 83 years of age.

Rosa Lee was born September 21, 1938 in Independence, MO to the late Elmo and Enola (McMullen) Sams. She was a resident of Swartz Creek for 25 years then Chesaning for the last 7 years. She retired from the State of Michigan with 15 years seniority. Rosa Lee enjoyed gardening, reading, watching TV and playing games on her computer.

Surviving are: children: Michael Danforth of Lapeer, Kenneth (Joy) Slankard of NC, Lee (Autumn) Slankard of Chesaning; step son, Robert (Jane) Ward of Swartz Creek; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren. Her husband, Dennis Ward, preceded her in death in 1994.
