Rosa Marie Hernandez

Rosa Hernandez – age 56, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away on April 9, 2025. Born on August 15, 1968, in San Diego, Texas, Rosa brought warmth and joy to every chapter of her life.

Rosa was a fun-loving free spirit whose radiant smile could light up any room. Known for her vibrant personality and boundless energy, she was often the life of the party—bringing laughter, music, and unforgettable memories wherever she went. Yet beneath her joyful exterior was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience. No matter what challenges life presented, Rosa faced them with unwavering positivity and determination. Her enduring optimism and fierce dedication made her a pillar of support to those around her.

She was a devoted mother who poured her heart into raising her children with love and perseverance. Rosa is lovingly remembered by her daughter Christina (Hunter) (Hernandez) Frost and her son Juan Sanchez. She also embraced the role of stepmother with open arms to Santiago Pena (Brittany), Jesse Ray Garcia (Tayla), and Devontae Smith. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Hilario Sanchez and Jasper Frost.

Rosa’s family roots ran deep. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Juan Sanchez; her parents Gloria and Zenon Hernandez; and her brother Daniel Hernandez. Their memories remained close to Rosa’s heart throughout her life.

A natural social butterfly, Rosa loved to connect with others—whether through heartfelt conversations or spontaneous celebrations. She believed in making good memories and living each day fully. Her presence brought comfort to those who needed it most, whether as a mother, aunt, or friend.

Rosa’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Yet the joy she shared, the strength she embodied, and the love she gave so freely will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her journey.
