Rick H. Gauna

GAUNA, Rick H. – of Chesaning, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his residence. He was 54 years of age.

Rick was born March 27, 1967 in Saginaw to the late Juan and Carolina (Hurtado) Gauna and was a lifelong resident of Chesaning. He was a 1985 graduate of Chesaning Union Schools. He married Jodi Krizan on August 5, 2020. Mr. Gauna was employed for the Village of St. Charles. He enjoyed helping family and friends, working on cars, landscaping, gardening, mowing and going to the casino.

Surviving are: wife, Jodi; children: Jacob Fish of Bridgeport, Bobby Fish of Saginaw, Shantle Fox (companion “T”) of Harrison, Schayna Peterson (Chris Mohnk) of Chesaning, Mike (Hannah) Peterson of Chesaning, Jake Ginderske of Saginaw; grandchildren: Tyler Fox and Sophia “Punky” Peterson; siblings: Chris Gauna (Tom Podorsky), Carol (Matias) Escamilla, Juanita Allen (Jeff Tame), Inez Gauna (Christopher Martin), Bennita (Mark) Wilder, Alicia (Larry) Studer, John (Cheryl) Gauna, Calistro (Dana) Gauna, David Gauna (Tina Robertson), Rick (Jodi) Gauna, Leandra (Fred) Birchmeier, Gloria Gauna Escamilla (Dave Binder), Tony Gauna (Kathy Suarez); many nieces and nephews; special friends: Terry and Frances Kukulis, Randy and Mary Lou Mohnk, Laverne Gross, Don Eickholt, and Becky and Dean Kramer.

Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 2-7 p.m. Cremation to follow. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family. Following Covid-19 guidelines, masks must be worn, and social distancing practiced at the funeral home. Currently funeral homes are limited to 25 people.
