MACIEJESKI, Richard A. – of Chesaning, died Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Covenant Health Center in Saginaw. He was 65 years of age.
Richard was born April 7, 1956 in Owosso to the late George and Frances (Stone) Maciejeski and was a resident of Chesaning for over 35 years. He served in the US Navy for 6 years. He married Bessie I. Williams on April 5, 1996. Mr. Maciejeski retired from Meijers with 28 years seniority. He was a member of Brady Wesleyan Church. He was the drummer at the church, the Craig Lawton Band and Randy Stoddard’s band during the Showboat years. He enjoyed fishing with his high school friend, Phil Walker, spending time with his nephews and attending family reunions.
Surviving are: wife, Bessie; step daughter Devin Combs of Houghton Lake; sisters: Helen (Ernie) Wirostek of Oakley, Rosie (Bob) Bohac of Owosso, Joanne Wood of Chesaning; brother-in-law, Ron Cole of Perry; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: stepson, Matthew Williams in 2002; brother, Patrick Maciejeski; and a sister, Connie Cole.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Misiuk Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Cole officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
