Phyllis J. Sims Obituary

SIMS, Phyllis J. – of Oakley, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at her residence. She was 72 years of age.

Phyllis was born December 15, 1947 to the late Elbert and Mary (Myk) Hawes and was a resident of Oakley most of her life. She was united in marriage to John Sims Sr. on September 18, 1965. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2016. Phyllis enjoyed shopping and doing ceramics.

Surviving are: sons, John Sims Jr. and Lucas Sims both of Oakley; son-in-law, Mike Currier of Chesaning; grandchildren: Elisabeth (Matthew) Blaney of St. Charles, Billy Foster (companion Emily) of Durand, Hunter Currier of Chesaning, Shane Sims of Burt, Devon Sims , Justin Sims, Layne Sims and Caidence Sims, all of Oakley; one great granddaughter, Rileyjo Blaney of St. Charles; sister, Connie (Neil) O’Brien of Chesaning; brother, David Hawes of Brant; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: daughter, Christina Currier; son, Charles Sims; and 2 brothers James and Elbert Hawes.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. You may light a memorial candle or share a condolence at misiukfuneralhome.com.
