Peggy J. (Smith) Merriett

MERRIETT, Peggy J. – of Montrose, died Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was 71 years of age.

Peggy was born June 2, 1951, in Flint to the late Jesse and Mary Ellen (Parkhurst) Smith and was a Montrose resident most of her life. She earned her Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Baker College. Peggy retired from Prudential Insurance Co. She enjoyed sewing, camping, swimming, playing Yahtzee and Dominos, and being with family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are: daughters, Jennifer Barron of Grand Blanc, Jessica (Jason) Andres of New Lothrop; grandchildren: Jaxon Andres, Lili Andres, Jager Andres, Jasper Andres and Ryder Andres; brother, Gary M. Smith of Montrose; cousin, Mary (Dennis) Swedorski of Clio; several other relatives and dear friends. She was also preceded in death by: a grandson, Jesse Eugene Andres; and a sister, Maureen Smith.
