FISH-CARTER, Nellie L. – of the Chesaning area, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her residence. She was 86 years of age.
Nellie was born January 29, 1934 in Saginaw County to the late Arthur and Goldie (Dodge) Creller. She was a resident of the Chesaning area most of her life. She was united in marriage to Richard Fish on February 18, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2004. She then married Richard Carter on November 12, 2006. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2019. Nellie owned her own commercial cleaning business and she also worked with her husband, Richard Fish, with his business, RL Clean, for many years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle Aerie in South Branch. She enjoyed genealogy, casino trips and traveling.
Surviving are: children: Nellie “Snookie” (George) Detwiler of Chesaning, Margaret Wilfong of West Branch, Richard (Rosalie) Fish of Oakley, Anthony “Tony” (Tina) Fish of Chesaning, Ruth Fish of Chesaning, and Brian (Patricia) Fish of E. Lansing; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers: Norman (Karen) Creller of MI, and Dwight (Estela) Creller of IL; sister-in-law, Mary Creller of Reese; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: a son, Michael Fish; sister, Ruth Morningstar; and a brother, William A. Creller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 2-6 PM at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Private family services will be held later. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Oakley. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Oakley Community Church. Following Covid-19 guidelines, masks must be worn, and social distancing practiced at the funeral home. Currently funeral homes are limited to 25 people. Please keep your visit brief to allow everyone a chance to see the family.
