Obituary
Nancy May Streeter of Chesaning passed away Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022 at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles. She was 81 years of age.
She was born in Omer, Michigan on August 8, 1940, the daughter of the William and Eveline M. (Bly) Loachridge. Nancy graduated from St. Charles Community High School in the Class of 1958 and later from Saginaw Business Institute. She was united in marriage to Dick Allen Streeter on July 31, 1965, and they moved to Chesaning that same year. She had worked and retired from St. Charles Community Schools, Johnson Control Battery Plant in Owosso, and Chevrolet Parts Plant in Saginaw.
Nancy was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, solving word search puzzles, and playing the penny slot machines at the casino. She would occasionally win while playing the Maximum Bet Slots. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Many summer vacations were spent at the family’s cabin at Houghton Lake.
She is survived by her children, Craig A. (Amanda) Streeter of Brant and Renee G. (Douglas) Miller of Chesaning; grandchildren, Brooke E. Miller, Brent D. Miller, Olivia R. Streeter, and Ryan C. Streeter; sister, Brenda (Lavern) Spolarich of Chesaning; brother-in-law, William Fuller; several nieces and nephews and their families; and other loving family and friends. Loved ones who have passed away before her include her parents; stepfather, Robert Knowels; sisters, Marian Fuller and Sandra and husband John Feddler; stepbrother, Lawrence Knowels; and her beloved husband of over 52 years, Dick.
Rev. Janine Plum will officiate at Nancy’s funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 W. Brady Road (M-57), Chesaning. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Her family will be present at the church Saturday to greet relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
