ALLEN, Mona Jean (Fenner) – of Chesaning, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. She was 88 years of age.
Mona Jean was born September 14, 1933, in Lansing, MI to the late C. Eugene and Audrey I. (Saylor) Fenner. She had been employed by Peet Packing Company for 10 years and Valley Communities Federal Credit Union for 20 years. She and her husband Bud had been married for 56 years. They enjoyed camping in the summer and spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed reading and her dogs. Mona was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Women Serving Christ.
She is survived by 18 nieces and nephews and their spouses. She loved them all dearly. Also, very good friends, Cliff Clark and family, and Jamie and Kaylene Van Wagner. Mona Jean was preceded in death by: her husband, Bud in 2008; two sisters and two nephews; and good friend Carol Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chesaning. Pastor Paul Tessmer officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
