Mildred Danek Obituary
DANEK, Mildred of Chesaning died Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Union Court Assisted Living of Chesaning. She was 95 years of age.
Mildred was born in Owosso on December 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Jerry and Pauline (Bohac) Stodola. Mildred was a lifelong resident of the New Haven Twp. area. She was united in marriage to Carl P. Danek on December 21, 1946.
Mildred had worked several years as a Teacher for the Chesaning Union Schools. She was a member of CSA (a Czech society), a china painting group, a bowling league, and a golf league. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, painting pictures, and polka dancing.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dr. Steven (Eunai) Danek of Marquette, Dr's. Larry (Gale) Danek, of Gainesville, Florida, Dr. Paul (Lydia) Danek of Chesaning, Jeff (Mary Kay) Danek of Merrill, Denise Edgar of Chesaning; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Milan (Pauline) Stodola of California; sister, Paula (Charlie) Fowler of Chesaning; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl P. Danek, on March 15, 2013, and a brother, Jerome Stodola, on January 1, 2012.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Rev. Janine Plum will officiate. Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery, New Haven Twp. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service.
