Michael L. Schonfeld Obituary
Michael L. Schonfeld of Chesaning, age 70, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home.
Mike was born October 2, 1949 in Detroit to the late Raymond and Joyce (Lamarand) Schonfeld. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Taylor, MI. The school is now called Taylor High School. Mike was an Honorably Discharged Veteran. He enlisted into the US Air Force right after high school and served for many years. After he was discharged from the US Air Force, he then enlisted into the US Army and served a few more years. He married Pamela Ann Fedewa on August 13, 2012. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy of Arizona; a stepdaughter, Shawna Fedewa of Saginaw; step-granddaughter, Riley Ruyts; his siblings, Raymond Charles Schonfeld II of Mio, David Schonfeld of Mio, Richard Schonfeld of Lincoln Park, Norman Schonfeld of Lincoln Park, Lynn Wajda of Mio, Jeffery Schonfeld of Lincoln Park, Timothy Schonfeld of Hanover, MD, and Matthew Schonfeld of Freeland; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment with Military Funeral Honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
