Michael J. Eastwood

EASTWOOD, Michael J. – of Chesaning, died Friday, August 28, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. He was 78 years of age.

Mike was born April 13, 1942 in Saginaw to the late Byron and Mildred (Blackmer) Eastwood. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a resident of Chesaning since 1972. Mike was united in marriage to Helen Lorencz on July 8, 1972. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2005. Mr. Eastwood retired from Chevrolet Mfg. with 30 years seniority. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, UAW and the NRA. He enjoyed exercising, walking, being active, playing bingo and enjoying life.

Surviving are his brother, Charles (Lucy) Eastwood of TX, and his sister, Judith (Robert) Skutt of Flushing; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 133 Commercial Street, Chesaning. Pastor Paul Tessmer officiating. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
