Mary Francis Withers Obituary
Withers, Mary Frances – Of St. Charles died Saturday morning, September 2, 2023, at her home surrounded in the love of her family. She was 63 years of age.
Mary Frances was born in Flint on September 26, 1959, a daughter of the late John D. and Mary S. (Coe) Dubbs. Fran graduated from Kearsley High School in Flint in the Class of 1977.
Fran’s love and passion was the care and breeding of Miniature American Shepherds. She owned and operated Dynasty Miniature American Shepherds, breeders of champion bloodline Mini American Shepherds. She was proud that her company had received the AKC Breeder of Merit award. She was recognized to be the only MAS breeder with three BIS winners. Fran was a member of the American Kennel Club and she also served as an AKC judge. Fran made friends feel like family, and made family feel like her most valued friends. She had amazing gardens, even the most sensitive plants thrived in her care. Her knowledge and passion for a miniature American shepherd‘s was unrivaled.
She is survived by her children, Stacey (Jeff) Hemker and Scott (Mindy) Withers, all of Chesaning; grandchildren, Colt, Drake, and Cambrie Withers and Lexie Hemker; her siblings, Tim (Maryann) Dubbs of Grand Rapids, Tee (Jack) Klosterman of San Antonio, FL, Greg (Debbie) Dubbs of Mt. Morris, and Kristine (Mitch) Dubbs-Swanson of Fenton; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wendy; and a brother, Kevin.
There will be a private graveside service. A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Showboat Park, 805 South Front Street, Chesaning. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
