Mark Alan Karpuk

KARPUK, Mark Alan – of Chesaning, died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at his residence. He was 68 years of age.

Mark was born August 17, 1956, in Saginaw. He was a resident of the Chesaning area his entire life and was a 1974 graduate of Chesaning Union High School. He was united in marriage to Lori Poag on July 27, 1979. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2018. Mr. Karpuk retired from Andersons in Oakley in 2021. He had attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Albee Twp. for many years. Mark was a tinkerer, outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, shooting, trapping, reloading ammo, camping, collecting, and going to the casino.

Surviving are: children: Heather Karpuk, Mark (Amanda) Karpuk II, Matthew (Chelsea) Karpuk, Katie (Mike) Hiland; grandchildren: Blake, Kali, Samuel, Jade, Damien, Kaiden, and Theo; his mother, Theresa O’Deay; sisters: Kathy (Rick) Righi, Mary Kay (Pete) Clinton; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Daryl Karpuk Sr.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Albee Twp. Fr. Robert Kelm officiating. Visitation will be at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Tuesday from 1pm to 7pm with a vigil service at 7pm. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10am until time of Mass at 11am.
