Louise (Hnilica) Goidosik

GOIDOSIK, Louise – of St. Charles, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Saginaw. She was 93 years of age.

Louise was born January 13, 1930, in Flint to the late Louis and Bessie (Hasman) Hnilica. She had been a resident of Saginaw County since 1949. She was united in marriage to Anthony Goidosik on November 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2012. She was an excellent baker, made Czech pastries, enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, going to the cottage on Clear Lake, but especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her cats.

Surviving are: children: Ronald Goidosik of Saginaw, Garold Goidosik of Kalamazoo, Kristi (Ken) Wilcox of OR; grandchildren: Erik (Amanda) Goidosik, Adam (Melanie) Goidosik, Kara Goidosik, Heather (Geoff) Farrer, Jason Toohey and Nichole Toohey; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Austin, Clare, Luke and Kason. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Goidosik.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Burial to follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Albee Twp. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.
