Loretta Jean Putney Obituary
PUTNEY, Loretta Jean – of Eatonville, WA, died Monday, August 31, 2026 in Eatonville, WA. She was 96 years of age.
Loretta was born January 30, 1930 in Owosso, MI to the late Harold and Mildred (Shelp) Payne and resided in the Marion Springs area most of her life moving to WA the past 13 years. She was united in marriage to Curtis Putney on May 1, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1989. Mrs. Putney was employed by Universal Electric until the mid-1970’s. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, flowers, baking, cooking, trying new recipes, and catalog shopping. She always enjoyed a visitor.
Surviving are: son, Steve Putney of Eatonville, WA; grandsons: Steven and Sean, step granddaughters: Amanda and Necole; sisters: Helen Shepherd of Henderson and Carol Gall of Elsie. She was also preceded in death by: son, Stanley; and 2 brothers, Ed Payne and Lyle Payne.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 11, 2026 at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Rev Michael Beckwith officiating. Burial to follow in West Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
