PATTERSON, Leonard Ernest – of Oakley, died Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, at Pleasant View Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility in Caledonia Township. He was 64 years of age.
Leonard was born May 3, 1960, in Saginaw to the late Albert and Mary Kay (Wright) Patterson and was a resident of the Chesaning area most of his life. He was a 1978 graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw then entered the Army National Guard of Michigan on October 16, 1978. He served his country until October 15, 1984. Leonard then worked at Super Foods for over 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are: children: Robert (Tina) Patterson of Corunna, Melinda (Chris) Walker of Riverdale, Erin (Jason) Caroll of Clio, Rolland Patterson (Tiffany Boeff) of Oakley, Albert Patterson of Chesaning, Leonard Patterson of Owosso; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings: Bruce (Regina) Patterson of Greenville, Howard (Alice) Patterson of St. Charles, Mark Patterson of Alma, Linda Bankson of St. Charles, Carl Patterson of Weidman; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning with Pastor John James officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Chesaning. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
