WOLFE, Laura J. – of Oakley, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. She was 88 years of age.
Laura was born February 28, 1933 in Owosso to the late Claude and Lillian (Hadlock) Goodrich. She was raised in Curran, MI then moved to Brady Twp. in the 1950’s. She married Rudy Karis and they built a house on Ferden Road, on the Robert Karis family farm. She was then married to Dale Wolfe on February 16, 1963. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1990. Mrs. Wolfe had worked at American Record for a few years then at Toledo Commutator for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, having breakfast with the girls in Oakley and especially family gatherings.
Surviving are: children: William E. (Jeannette) Karis of Spokane, WA, Alan (Bev) Karis of Frankenmuth, Kathy Hudson of Oakley, Rusty E. (Zelda “Sis”) Wolfe of Henderson; grandchildren: Lisa (Kevin) McGlashen, Corey (Louise) Amman, Joanna Gladwin, Nicole (Floyd) Vanderhoof, Andrew Cassel, Christopher Cassel (fiance Sarah), Chris (Christopher) Deming, Liz (Bill) Bray and Jake (Kimberly) Hartwick; several great grandchildren; special friends, Carol Nelson and Cheryl Nelson; many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Bruce Goodrich, preceded her in death in 2012.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
