Larry P. Gower Obituary
Gower, Larry P. of Chesaning passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital (MyHealth) in Saginaw, Michigan. He was 84 years of age.
Larry, son of the late William (Bud) and Margorie Gower, was born in Maine on February 21, 1942. He was a graduate of St. Charles High School. Larry owned and ran a gas station in St Charles, worked at Chrysler dealerships in Chesaning and Saginaw, and LaClair Sales in Chesaning for the bulk of his career. He experienced much joy in working, creating, and restoring cars, tool creatures, and other restorations. He was a master at creating parts and implementing them as needed for his projects. Larry also served his country in the Armed Forces.
Larry’s family is his children, Jeff and Kelly Gower, Mike and Leslie Gower, Matt Gower, Lisa Conklin and the late Rick Conklin, the late Kelly Gewirtz and his wife, Felicia Gewirtz, Lori and Darren Mort, Scott and Kay Gewirtz, Tammy and Mike Yates, and Andy and Linda Gewirtz. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Linda Thoune-Gewirtz, his brother, James Gower and his parents, William and Marjorie Gower.
Honoring Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
