Kenneth D. DeBarr of Chesaning died Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Memorial Healthcare of Owosso. He was 61 years of age.
Ken was born April 21, 1960, in Owosso to the late Kenneth DeBarr and Opal (Spencer) Bayliss. He was a resident of Chesaning for the past 40 years, originally coming from Durand. Ken held a variety of odd jobs. He was formerly a member of Durand United Methodist Church and Chesaning Nazarene Church. He enjoyed riding his bike around Chesaning, walking uptown every morning, and playing the lottery. He played Lotto 47 twice a week.
Surviving are his daughter, Kendra (Joseph) Jordan of Chesaning; a grandson, Nero K. Jordan; siblings, Mary Novak of Chesaning, Kerry Bayliss of Owosso, Floyd (Joyce) DeBarr of Owosso, and Lela Whitehead of Owosso; Kendra’s mother, Killian Gall of Chesaning; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny “Mike” DeBarr; sisters, Jeanette Anibal, Katherine DeBarr, and Edna “Sue” Bacon; as well as both his parents and step-parents.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Rev. John James will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family.
