Kelly D. Hurst

HURST, Kelly D. – of Chesaning, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his residence. He was 60 years of age.

Kelly was born October 27, 1960 in Saginaw to Frank and Marian (Trombley) Hurst. He was a resident of Chesaning his entire life. Kelly was united in marriage to Karen Thomas on June 8, 1985. Mr. Hurst started and ran his own janitorial business for 16 years. He was then employed for several businesses including Wolverine Pattern, Saginaw Pattern, Marshalls Crossing and Waste Management. Kelly enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his wife and all of his grandchildren whom he loved so dearly. His presences just lit up a room with his laughter, jokes and love for his family.

Surviving are: wife, Karen; daughters: Crystal Schardt of Owosso, Felicia Beckman (fiancé Mike Peterson) of Chesaning, Kelly (Charles) Harris of Chesaning; grandchildren: Lily Whitcomb, Sierra Peterson, Anna Peterson, Landon Beckman and Dylan Harris; mother, Marian Hurst of Montrose; brother, Frank (Maryann) Hurst of Chesaning; sister, Kay (Vic) Lamay of Maple Grove; dear friends: Dennis Kligar of Chesaning, brother Frank, son in law Chuck, Frankie Jo and Fred Chase; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Hurst on May 7, 1989.

Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 2-6 p.m. Cremation to follow. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family. Following Covid-19 guidelines, masks must be worn, and social distancing practiced at the funeral home. Currently funeral homes are limited to 25 people.
