Kathleen "Diesel" Bayliss Obituary
BAYLISS, Kathleen “Diesel” – of Maple Grove Twp. died unexpectedly Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home. She was 68 years old.
Kathleen was born in Flint on October 24, 1955, a daughter of the late Patrick G. “Mike” and Ila J. (Ries) Dinnan. She lived most of her life in the Chesaning area. She was united in marriage to Kyley R. Bayliss on March 17, 2007. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2012.
Kathy had worked for Midwest Bus of Owosso for over 30 years. She had been employed as their Purchasing Agent and recently retired in 2023. She enjoyed playing Keno, going to the casino, and playing trivia at the Riverfront Grille in Chesaning. She liked going to garage sales and Goodwill stores. Kathy loved being outdoors and was a former Harley-Davidson owner. She enjoyed traveling to Lake Cecil and working in her yard.
Kathy is survived by her three sons, Ryan Brainerd (Michael Cassidy) of Flint, Scott (Jennifer) Brainerd of Hemlock, and Kris (Micah) Brainerd of Ohio; five grandchildren, Austin Martin, Andrew Brainerd, Ericka Brainerd, Alec Brainerd, and Harper Wendling; three great-grandchildren, Andala, Mikal, and Dax Brainerd; three siblings, Geri Pasheek of Davison, John Dinnan of Mt. Morris, and Killian Gall of Chesaning; nieces and nephews; and other loving family and many friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jeannette Lee and Judith Dobas; and the father of her children, James Brainerd.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Inurnment will follow later at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso.
