Kathleen E. (Schipper) Mahoney

MAHONEY, Kathleen E. – of Chesaning, died Friday, January 21, 2022 at Owosso Memorial. She was 87 years of age.

Kathleen was born June 14, 1934 in Detroit to the late Nicholas and Beatrice (Burgess) Schipper. She was a resident of Chesaning most of her life. As a child, she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. She was united in marriage to Patrick J. Mahoney on March 17, 1953. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2002. Kathleen was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #851. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, going to thrift shops, crocheting and sewing.

Surviving are: children: Charleen Mahoney of Harrison, Denise Mahoney and husband John Cowman of Ann Arbor, Patrick Mahoney of Chesaning; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Constance Honeychurch of AZ, Louis (Shirley) Schipper of St. Charles, Suzanne Louch of Chapin; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula Stennet, and a brother, Joel Leis.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Pastor Mark Green officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
