Julie Ann Giesken Obituary
Giesken, Julie Ann - of Chesaning, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Union Court of Chesaning. She was 88 years of age.
Julie was born June 12, 1938, in Owosso, MI to the late Erven and Doris (McKeage) Greilich. She graduated from Chesaning High School in 1956. Julie was united in marriage to Richard Joseph Giesken on September 28, 1957. She was a licensed beautician and serviced the Chesaning community for many years. Julie loved spending time with her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed creating fabric products for Kountry Kupboards, an artisan business which she and Richard ran along with her sister, Christy and brother-in-law, Leo.
Julie is survived by daughters: Stacy Metzger (Ben) of Chesaning, Jessica Orr (Joel) of Lakeview: Grandchildren: Rachel Gross (Brent) of Chesaning, Wyatt and Olivia Orr of Lakeview: Great Granddaughters: Ruby and Maeve Gross of Chesaning. Brother: Jerry Greilich of Georgia, Sister: Christy Albert (Leo) of Chesaning. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Giesken on April 2, 2016, son-in-law Douglas Hollerback and sister-in-law Jill Greilich.
A private ceremony is planned for a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to River Rapids District Library.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Swann and Memorial Hospice and the nurses and staff at Union Court Chesaning for their care.
