Julie Ann Koviack , age 81, passed peacefully on October 7th , 2023 with family by her side.
Julie was born October 27, 1941 to Leslie Agnew and Theresa Blazejewski (Kelso). Julie lived her young life blessed to be the oldest of nine siblings, mostly raised in Chesaning, MI. She graduated high school from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Afterwards, she pursued her career in nursing by attending St. Mary’s nursing school in Saginaw, MI. During this time, she won the heart of Gerald (Jerry) Koviack and married him at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chesaning on August 4, 1962. Julie’s passion was taking photos of things she loved, reading countless books (dog stories being her favorite), drawing, making her home a natural reserve for wildlife, sister weekends, and being a political activist. The ultimate joy of her life was showing off her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from being an operating room nurse at Owosso Memorial Hospital. After retirement, she was a lighthouse keeper for many years along with Jerry, where she gained some of her best memories and lifelong friends. Julie and Jerry traveled to their dream destinations before settling down in their Chesaning home, while being snowbirds in Gulf Shores. There she could walk the beach and listen to the waves, which were some of her favorite things.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Connie Teller of Temperance, Mi, Kimberly (Randy) Stivers of Montrose, and Christopher (Deanna) Koviack of Temperance; grandchildren: Amy Teller, Ashlende (Ethan) Lowry, Brooke Stivers (fiancé Adrian), Sarah Koviack, Molly Koviack, and Nathan Koviack; step-grandchildren, Randy Stivers and Alex Stivers; great grandchildren: Zoey, Emmett, Addison, Aurora, Layla, and Dallas; her sisters, Elaine Zubek, Parny (Tim) Clanton, and Laure (Frank) Marietta; her brothers: Richard (Linda) Agnew, Joseph (Lillian) Agnew, Philip (Jeanne) Agnew, Mark (Debi) Agnew, David (Julie) Agnew; many brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Gerald Koviack, son Joseph Koviack, grandchild Andrew Teller, and brother-in-law Donald Zubek.
A gathering will occur Thursday, October 12 at 4:00pm with a memorial service to begin at 5:30pm at Misiuk Funeral home in Chesaning, MI.
