COOPER, Judith A. ”Judy” – of New Haven Twp., a loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt, and friend passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years of age.
Judith was born in Chesaning on July 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nellie (Johnson) Maike. She was united in marriage to Charles F. Cooper in Chesaning on September 10, 1960. They have been residents of New Haven Twp. since 1977.
Judy attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help school and graduated from Chesaning Union High School. Judy was a homemaker and had volunteered a lot for various activities at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and School. She was an active member of Easton Church of Christ. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed crocheting and quilting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Chuck (ChoiMi) Cooper of Tacoma, WA, Gary (Renee) Cooper of Owosso, Sheila (Mike) Potter of New Lothrop, Doug (Becky) Cooper of Chesaning, Tom (Rose) Cooper of Owosso, and Joe (Amy) Cooper of Ovid; grandchildren, Chris and Chad Cooper, Elizabeth (Michael) McMillian, Adam Cooper, Nick (Kylie) Potter, Allie (Jerik) Koepplinger, Alex, Vica, and Ella Potter, Chelsea Goward, Bobby (Brittni) Cooper, Alisha (Matt Burgess) Cooper, Tiff Cooper (Chris), Joseph Cooper, Abby (Austin) Ralph, and Rebeka and Sam Cooper; many great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Karen) Maike of White Cloud, MI; sisters-in-law, Arlene Maike of Kennewick, WA and Elaine Fisher; brother-in-law, Dale (Judy) Cooper; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles; a son, Mark A. Cooper; a grandson, Michael Charles Potter; brothers, Ken Maike and Tom (Pauline) Maike; and a sister, Barbara (Ward) Adams.
Preachers Terry Strickler and Jeff Strickler will be officiating at her funeral service being held at Noon, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Easton Church of Christ, 3477 Easton Road, Owosso. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Charitable donation may be given in memory of Judy to the Easton Church of Christ.
