Juanita L. (Carswell) Singer of Chesaning, died Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 73 years of age.
Juanita was born July 9, 1947 in Flint to the late Frank and Virginia (Eaglen) Carswell. She was a 1965 graduate of Bendle High School. Juanita was united in marriage to Robert Singer on October 30, 1965. She was employed for a short time at Fisher Coldwater from 1976 to 1985. In her younger years, she played baseball in the Canusa Games and was known for being a drag racer on the street and track. She also enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are: husband, Bob; daughter, Jamie McGrath of Swartz Creek; Matthew Singer of Chesaning; 3 grandchildren: Codey McGrath, Austin McGrath and Kiersten McGrath; siblings: Sue Stillman of Croswell, Frank (Eva) Carswell of Lake Fenton, Tom (Molly) Carswell of Alanson, Shelly Johnson of Shelby Twp.; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rob Singer and her sister, Diane Rigdon.
Visitation will be held at the Misiuk Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Cremation has taken place.
