It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremy (Jay) John Koepplinger, of Burt, MI. He departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, July 13th, 2026, at the comfort of his own home due to an ongoing heart condition. 
 
Jay was born on February 13, 1971, a son of Dennis and Judy (Harris) Koepplinger in Owosso and he lived most of life in the Birch Run area. Jay worked for Krupp trucking for several years where he met a handful of his lifelong friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, and snowmobile race season with his son, Colton, and nephew, Tommy, over the years. He was a jokester and had a nickname for everyone.
 
Jay is survived by his mother, Judy Koepplinger; sister, Jennifer (Tom) Davison; daughter, Marissa (Tony) Schneider; son, Colton (Olivia) Koepplinger; mother of his children, Kathy (Jim) Burke; niece, Josie; nephew, Tommy; grandson, Greyson; his two grand babies on the way; other loving family and many, many friends. He is proceeded in death by his dad, Dennis Koepplinger, and his grandparents. 
 
His funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
