SLEESEMAN, James E. Jr. – of Albee Twp., died Friday, September 23, 2022 at his residence. He was 60 years of age.

Jim was born July 7, 1962 in Saginaw to the late James E. and Linda Lou (Godfrey) Sleeseman. He had attended Vestaburg Public Schools earning his GED in 1993. He was a longtime resident of the Chesaning area. Jim served in the US Marines from 1980 to 1983. He was employed as a maintenance man for several companies. Jim attended Owosso Church of Christ and Chesaning Bible Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycling, gardening, and horses. He had a major change in his life in 2010. He found Jesus and HE changed his life. He is not the man he was before then.

Surviving are: son, James Jachob (Alishia) Sleeseman of Beaverton; daughter, Stacie Marie (Jason) Cheney of Lady Lake, FL; 4 grandchildren, Kassie, Maddie and Donnie Sleeseman and Brianna Heilman; sister, Shelly (Tom) Kucher of Oakley; brother-in-law, Steve Zervan of Burt; nephew, Paul Sleeseman of Oakley; grandnephew, Malachai Sleeseman of Oakley; many other extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by: a sister, Cheryl Ann (Sleeseman) Zervan, and a granddaughter, Natalee Sleeseman.

Graveside prayers will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2022 at Pinegrove Cemetery in Albee Twp. Pastor Walt Yeoman officiating. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
