James M. Lorencz

LORENCZ, James M. – of Chesaning, died Sunday, October 23, 2022 at his residence. He was 73 years of age.

Jim was born November 16, 1948 in Saginaw to the late James and Katherine (Perry) Lorencz. He was a longtime resident of the Chesaning area. Jim joined the US Army at the age of 17 going to Vietnam and was exposed to Agent Orange. He was united in marriage to Tracy A. Pasik in July 1999, having been together since the spring of 1986. Mr. Lorencz was a machinist but owned and operated Tree Busters tree service for many years. He was known for his humor, jokes, showering people with gift and his love for animals. He enjoyed flying model airplanes, fishing, deer hunting and riding on his Harley.

Surviving are: wife, Tracy; sons: James Michael Jr. (Skottie) Lorencz of Roscommon, Jesse James (Dr. Amanda) Lorencz of East Lansing; grandchildren: James, Aaron, Ryan, Remington and Ira; siblings: Bill (Helen) Lorencz of Oakley, John (Diane) Lorencz of Oakley, Kathy Kulhanek of Tucson, AZ, Tom Lorencz of Petosky, David (Ginger) Lorencz, Christine Lorencz of Chino CA; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Inurnment in Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.  You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
