Ida M. (Griffus) Robison

IDA M. (GRIFFUS) ROBISON, formerly of Brady Township and later Chesaning, 95, passed away at The Pavilions in Traverse City, on Sunday December. 13, 2020.

She was born on May 15, 1925 in Brady Township to Maurice (Pete) Griffus and Dortha (Vincent) Griffus. Ida graduated from Chesaning High School in 1942. Ida was married to Ralph L. (Robbie) Robison on November. 27, 1945 in Starke Florida. Ralph died on April 21, 2006. They owned Wayside Sports Center (White’s Metal Detectors) and later Wayside Distributors (Pace Trailers), where Ida worked alongside Ralph. Ida loved being outdoors and collecting interesting rocks along the way. She enjoyed going to country auctions, antique shops and yard sales. Ida was a TOPS (KOPS) member for many years and enjoyed her friends there.

She is survived by three daughters, one son, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three sons-in-law. One sister and many nieces and nephews also survive. Ida was cremated and her remains will be interred in the Griffus Cemetery in Brady Township at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to River Rapids District Library in Chesaning.
