Gerald William Fuoss Obituary
FUOSS, Gerald William – of Chesaning died Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at his home. He was 75 years old.
Gerald was born February 8, 1951, in Owosso to the late Arthur C. and Hortense (Babion) Fuoss, was raised by Donald and Hortense Fuoss and was a resident of the Chesaning area his entire life. He was a 1969 graduate of Chesaning Union High School. Gerald was united in marriage to Charlene Conklin on May 7, 2008. Mr. Fuoss retired from General Motors and was a member of the UAW. Gerald was raised Lutheran and attended Christ Lutheran Church for many years. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, building, working on cars, watching NASCAR, fast cars, motorcycles, going to the Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
Surviving are: wife, Charlene; children: Tina Beeler of St. Charles, Terra (Brad) Fite of Traverse City, Jesse O’Donnell and Karl O’Donnell of Perry, and Josh Conklin of Owosso; grandchildren: Stefan Beeler, Gabrielle Conklin, Malinda McLain, Stella McLain, and Joshua Conklin Jr.; siblings: Henry (Joan) Fuoss of CO, Paula (Fred) Bishop of New Lothrop, Thomas (Mary) Fuoss of Chesaning, Walter Fuoss of Oakley, Susan Brown of Holt, Edward (Ruth) Fuoss of Oakley; other family: Lisa (Richard) Tithof of Lake City, Charles Conklin of Elsie, and Kevin Conklin of Crystal Lake; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: parents, Hortense, Arthur and Donald; brother-in-law, Brian Conklin; and mother-in-law, Rita Conklin.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Preacher Jeff Strickler officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Easton Cemetery.
