Gerald E. Richmond Obituary
RICHMOND, Gerald E. – of Chesaning, died Monday, September 28, 2020 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was 84 years of age. Gerald was born October 21, 1935 in Saginaw to the late Earl and Ella (Burns) Richmond. He was united in marriage to Grace Bessinger on August 1, 1959. Mr. Richmond was a truck driver for many years and for the past 35 years, he owned Jerry’s Gun Shop in Chesaning. Gerald was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being around his grandkids. He was active in the American Legion and Old Gas Tractor Association. Surviving are: his wife, Grace; children: Bobbi (Jay) Larrabee, Terri Lummie, Scott Richmond and Wendy Sokhanvari; grandchildren: Trisha, Kathrine, Scott Jr., Bryan, Jason, Elizabeth, David, Emma and Abby; siblings: Betty O’Brian, Melvin Richmond, and Carole Richmond. He was preceded in death by: son, Todd in 1964; a granddaughter, Jessica Richmond in 2018; and siblings, James Emeott and Barbra Weber.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesaning. Rev. Tim Woycik officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Friday from 2-6 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 1p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
