Gerald E. Brown

Brown, Gerald E. – of Chesaning, died Friday, February 14, 2020 at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso. He was 74 years of age.

Jerry was born April 23, 1945 in St. Ignace, MI to the late Vernon and Edna (LaNnoo) Brown Sr. and was a resident of Chesaning since the mid 1970’s. He was united in marriage to Kathaleen Nietling on November 11, 1978. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2016. Mr. Brown drove truck for Hancor then Penske retiring in 2007. Jerry enjoyed playing Keno, camping, going to the cabin in the UP, fishing, hunting, woodworking and tinkering in the garage.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters: Stefanie (Kurt) Ferry of Oakley, Sally (Rick) Moore of Oakley; two grandchildren: Matthew (Amy) Ferry of St. Charles, Cody Ferry of Otisville; two great-grandchildren: Ava Ferry and James Ferry both of St. Charles; siblings: Dale (Mary Jo) Brown of Chesaning, Debbie and the late Jesse Predmore of St. Ignace; sister-in-law Darlene Brown of Chesaning; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was also preceded in death by a grandson Brecken Powell in 2018, and a brother Vern Brown Jr. in 2020.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to Memorial Hospice. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
