Fredrick Allen “Freddy” Zervan of Albee Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at his home. His age was 67 years.
Frederick was born in Saginaw on January 2, 1954, a son of Michael Fredrick and Arlene Rebecca (Newman) Zervan. Freddy was a lifetime resident of Albee Twp. Together with his brother, Jerry, they co-owned and operated Zervan Brothers Excavating for over 33 years.
Freddy was a member of St. Mary Church of Albee. He loved to fix and restore Chevelles and had a collection of nine cars on which he had personally restored. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid deer hunter. He was a past winner of the Big Buck Contest. It is rumored that the deer population now has a chance to come back again.
Freddy is survived by his three sisters and a brother, Diane Brill, Ruth Scott, and Jerry (Marie) Zervan, all of Burt, and Michelle (Brian) Palko of Bridgeport; sister-in-law, Agnes Zervan of Burt; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and many close friends. Freddy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard, Ronald, and Michael Zervan; and two brothers-in-law, Tim Brill and Tom Scott.
A Time of Celebration of Freddy’s Life will be held from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Albee Twp. Hall, 10645 East Road (M-13), Burt.
