Evelyn P. (Papaor) Dorrum

Dorrum, Evelyn P. (Papaor) - of Chesaning went to be with her Lord and Savior,

Jesus Christ on Monday, September 1, 2025. She was 87 years of age.

Evelyn was born in Brant Township on June 4, 1938, to the late Joseph and

Catherine (Mikus) Papaor and was a resident of the Chesaning area her entire

life. She was united in marriage to Henry L. Dorrum, Jr. on June 25, 1960. He

predeceased her June 29, 2021. Evelyn was employed by Michigan Mutual

Insurance Company in her early married years. She was a member of Christ

Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oakley.

Surviving are: Children: Catherine (Arthur) Schmiege of Chesaning, Henry

(Michele) Dorrum of Midland; grandchildren: Luke (Jessica) Schmiege, Andrew

(Sydney) Schmiege, Jacob Schmiege, Matt (Sadie) Gawel, Adam (Sherry)

Gawel, Joe (Jackie) Gawel, Jacob (Kristi) Gawel, Abbie (Sean) Baldwin; 11

great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Christ

Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16070 West Brady Road (M-57), Oakley, Pastor

Jacob Reich officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be

held at Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the service.
