Donna Jean Schlachter Obituary

SCHLACHTER, Donna Jean (Weber) – of Chesaning, died Sunday, April 10, 2002, at Union Court in Chesaning. She was 85 years of age.
 
Donna was born February 16, 1937, in Owosso daughter of the late R. D. and Irene (Thompson) Sutliff. She attended Owosso school. Donna married Duane (James) Weber on June 9, 1956, at the Chesaning Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1969. Donna worked at McDonald Dairy in Chesaning, and then was a stay-at-home mother, homemaker, and accountant for the family well drilling business and farm at their home in Brant, MI. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, cooking, reading, traveling, shopping, and time spent with friends, and believed Jesus was her Lord and Savior. 
 
Surviving are: children: Darrell Weber of Sanford, MI, James (Eileen) Weber of Saginaw, Janice Coleman of Grand Rapids, Mary Kay Bakker of Grand Rapids; son-in-law, Dan Dood of Blanchard, MI; grandchildren: Jennifer Weber of Sanford, Heather Weber of Grand Rapids, Matthew Nixon of Chesaning, Kadie (Trevor) Schultz of Saginaw, Kyle (Kendra) Coleman of Canton, MI, Max Wesley of Indian River, Mitchell Wesley of Grand Rapids, George Bakker of Grand Rapids; great grandchildren: Tyler Beardsley, Carter Schultz, Austin Schultz, Riley Weber, and Hayes Coleman, Kylee Wesley, Sophia Wesley; brother, Wayne (Cheryl) Sutliff of Henderson; sister, Dianne Apsey of Corunna; daughters-in-law: Deloris Sutliff of Corunna, Betty Sutliff of Chesaning; brother-in-law, Mike Wiley of Corunna; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: daughter, Denise Dood; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Weber, brother-in-law, James Apsey, sister-in-law, Sheryl Sutliff; siblings: Lee Sutliff, Robert Sutliff, Vere Sutliff, Marion Sutliff and Linda Wiley.
 
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Pastor Ruth Petersen officiating. A private family service and graveside committal will be held later. Burial will take place at Brant Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Care Line Hospice in Saginaw.
