Donald Bruce McKaye Obituary

Donald Bruce McKaye passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the West Hickory Haven Nursing Center in Milford.
 
He was born in Pontiac on April 15, 1933, a son of the late Hugh and Beatrice (Martindale) McKaye.  Donald was united in marriage to Carol Ann Cicalo on February 7, 1951, in Saginaw.  They had two children, son, Bruce McKaye and daughter, Toni Ann Tripp.  Together they have five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Don has four sisters, Mildred Drew, Evelyn (Bob) Edwards, Mary Schafer, and Lillian Beatty, a brother, Floyd McKaye; nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.  Don preceded in death by his wife, Carol, a son-in-law, Steven Tripp, and many other siblings.
 
Donald was a proud Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War era.  He owned and operated the former Don’s Auto in Waterford.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Union Lake.
 
Honoring Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date.  You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
